Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Government will unveil its ‘Swarnandhra Vision document 2047’ to transform the State into a $2 trillion economy with 15 per cent annual growth of GSDP, leveraging on the huge potential for port-led development all along the nearly 1,000-km coastline.

The vision document is aligned with the Viksit Bharat Vision of Government of India. With the Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu’s return to the NDA on the eve of 2024 general elections after walking out of the alliance over denial of Special Category Status to AP in 2018, now both the TDP and the BJP are on the same page.

After a lot of deliberations, the Swarnandhra Vision document will be made public on December 12. Earlier, the date was put off from August 15 and October 2 as the exercise required for it was not completed by then.

During a meeting convened by the NITI Aayog, the State Government stated that AP vision will be an integral part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat-2027 Vision. During election rallies, Modi had pledged support to ensure all round development of AP after seeking a mandate for ‘Double Engine Ki Sarkar.’

Naidu held a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat on Saturday on the preparations to release the document, which he said, is aimed at elevating the State to No. 1 position in the country in all sectors. In the last Assembly session, the State Government has already placed the draft document before the public.

The vision document is being prepared with the active participation of several prestigious organisations along with the NITI Ayog. The State Government has already gathered the opinion of over 17 lakh people including experts of various spheres, many agencies and intellectuals on the vision document.

The State, which has studied in depth the viewpoints of all these elite people, is now getting ready to release the vision document in the presence of students and the common public. The Chief Minister has already announced 10 principles with regard to the vision document which include building poverty-free society, providing employment, skill-human resource development, water conservation, introducing technology in farming, providing global-level basic amenities, proper utilisation of energy resources, quality production along with branding, Swachandhra and deeptech. He also formulated a perfect plan to achieve all these goals.

The government is making all the necessary arrangements for preparing a vision document for the development of not only the State, but also the constituency and mandal-level. Chief Secretary Neerab Kumar Prasad, Secretaries of various departments along with the officers of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) were present at the meeting.
